UConn women's college basketball star paige bueckers on Senior Night

On March 2, 2025, the University of Connecticut (UConn) celebrated Senior Day by honoring four standout players: Paige Bueckers, Azzi Fudd, Kaitlyn Chen, and Aubrey Griffin. The festivities were highlighted by a dominant 92-57 victory over Marquette at Gampel Pavilion, marking the end of the regular season on a high note.


Paige Bueckers, a pivotal figure in women's college basketball, delivered an impressive performance with 19 points, seven assists, and four rebounds. Her contributions were instrumental in UConn's commanding lead throughout the game.


Beyond her on-court achievements, Bueckers was inducted into the "Huskies of Honor," a prestigious recognition of her outstanding career at UConn. This accolade reflects her significant impact on the program and her leadership both on and off the court.


Head coach Geno Auriemma expressed profound satisfaction in fulfilling the promises made during Bueckers' recruitment, emphasizing her growth and contributions to the team's success.


The Senior Day ceremony also celebrated the careers of Azzi Fudd, Kaitlyn Chen, and Aubrey Griffin, each of whom has played a vital role in UConn's achievements. The team now sets its sights on the postseason, aiming to build upon their undefeated Big East season and pursue national championship aspirations.
