Golf | Thitikul Snatches Her First Title Of The Season

The 2025 Mizuho Americas Open concluded this past weekend at Liberty National Golf Club in Jersey City, New Jersey, with Thailand's Jeeno Thitikul capturing her first title of the season and fifth career LPGA victory. Thitikul delivered a bogey-free final round of 69, finishing at 17-under-par 271, four strokes ahead of France's Celine Boutier.

Thitikul's performance was marked by consistency and precision, particularly in the final 27 holes where she avoided any bogeys. Her win earned her $450,000 from the tournament's $3 million purse, one of the largest on the LPGA Tour.

Boutier secured second place at 13-under, while Andrea Lee and Carlota Ciganda tied for third at 12-under. World No. 1 Nelly Korda, despite being within one shot of Thitikul during the final round, faltered after a bogey on the ninth hole and finished tied for fifth at 11-under.

The tournament also featured the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) Invitational, where Short Hills native Aphrodite Deng emerged victorious, highlighting the event's commitment to fostering young talent.
